  1. Mom. You're killing me. Those are the most gorgeous pies I've ever seen. And they look DELISH. Really? Is there anything more delicious than rhubarb and strawberry? Who were the lucky ones who got to ear this pie?

  2. Ted and I ate those two pieces. Alban came home later, and he and Ted ate two more. I won't complain about these pies. They were pret-ty good. . .

  3. Beth and I ate the first two pieces of "plain" Rhubarb pie (there is orange zest in the sauce). Our pieces were still warm. When Alban got home from Paynes, I ate another piece with Alban to keep him company. We haven't gotten into the Strawberry-Rhubarb version yet. Alban says it's the best rhubarb pie he's ever eaten and I'm afraid I have to agree. The crust is perfect, The filling is moist but not runny. Just the right balance between tart and sweet. The orange is a nice surprise. Wish you were here.

  4. I agree. Rhubarb pie is the absolute best pie in the world. (Rhubarb-strawberry a close second.) And Beth's rhubarb pie is the best of all the rhubarb pies! That lattice top is gorgeous.

  5. Obviously, I meant 'eat this pie'. Not 'ear this pie'. Ha.

  6. Obviously, Ted wanted pure rhubarb, and I made the rhubarb-strawberry for ME.
